Today's Biker ~ Your Neighbor

After I was introduced to a motorcycle die-hard here in Wallowa County, Mr. Dick Cross a motorcycle bronze artist, the same topic kept coming up.  "Why doesn't someone sponsor a motorcycle event here in Joseph Oregon?"  After hearing the same comment over and over a light bulb finally came on, or maybe it was more like a jolt of lighting, I'm not sure.  All I know is it started to make a lot of sense to me.   Here in Wallowa County we have a lot to offer those who come to visit each year.  Including Wallowa Lake with its pure clear water, not to mention it is one of the most visited state parks in the State of Oregon.  After meeting with all the proper leadership groups of our community I began to realize we have a very large support base for this type of event.

After many months of meetings and presentations I can now share with you that we will hold our 3rd Annual Bronze Bike Motorcycle Rendezvous in Joseph Oregon Next August 21, 22, 23rd of 2009.  We are very excited and are planning a great event for all who attend.  We are going to have some wonderful activities for our visitors to enjoy.  You may be asking yourself, "Why the bronze bike theme?", as you drive through the city of Joseph for the first time, you will began to understand why.  On both sides of Main Street you will see some of the most beautiful full size bronze sculptures to be seen anywhere.  I sincerely believe that if you decide to join us for this event you will not only see some of the most fantastic country in the USA, but you will hopefully leave Joseph thinking "I had a great time and met some wonderful people.  I will be back next year."
