That Special Ride

All bikers  have that one memorable ride that they can recall as if it happened yesterday.   Whether in the distant flashback in their eyes or expression of total enjoyment on their faces, you know it is a ride forever etched in their minds.  Here are a few stories from bikers about "That Special Ride".   Enjoy!

Lewiston Ride photo by Ken Wick  Hi all fair weather riders...
We of course were scheduled for the loop ride to the dam on Haines and return home but due to 39 road being out we switched routes and went to Lewiston- had a great lunch at Meriweather's, took in a taxidermy show at the Red Lion and watched the Grande Ronde at HIGH WATER... it was pretty awesome- just a reminder we ride to Lolo Hot Springs on Saturday June 26, 2010.

Jim Boatman's bike built in 1972 This bike was built by me,
Jim Boatman, in 1972
It was a stock 1948 pan head. I cut the neck off, bent the front legs forward, and added a nine inch piece and welded the neck back on.  It was called a goose neck frame. Sportster tank and a 24 inch over stock narrow Springer build by "Dick Allen".  Midnight blue with red pin striping, suicide shift, and a sup-up carb from Jaguar, twelve inch with bars old school bike.  Was it hard to handle ?? not really.  Great bike should have kept it. Cost about $800.00 to build. Nobody builds em anymore!
Your bike was you, we all built our own in the good old days

Jeff MohrJeff MohrYou know your life is great when you take a vacation to Phoenix Arizona and my friend and brother in Christ Jesus says to me "take my Harley ride where ever you want to go".  So needless to say I did!  I also connected and bonded with my 22-year old daughter Ashley.  Here she is with me on Greg's 97' Dyna at Bike Week.  And that's Greg and Deb his wife on his hard tail.  Life is great being in the wind.  Thanks Greg Love Ya Bro!!! Love you Ashley.
